You will notice in the five goals of Save the Second there is no mention of Wayne LaPierre anywhere. The reason that Save the Second has no mention of Wayne LaPierre is that we believe that the problems in our NRA are not solved by the removal or addition of any single person.
NRA President Carolyn Meadows and other NRA Board of Directors are saying that everything is alright, or as the Wizard said to Dorothy, “pay no attention to that man behind the curtain”.
The revelations confirm the rumors. Issues with retirement plans (except for Wayne’s, as he’s taken Millions of Dollars out early), loans to “The NRA” from its affiliated entities (all while the apologist are still asking for people to fund those supposedly separate entities), and spending that far outpaced actual revenue have all been widely reported from internal sources openly and in whispers for a long time.
More and more members of the gun community media with well established credentials are asking the hard questions and reporting the uncomfortable truths lately. We know that there are still people worried about retribution, bullying or intimidation being done by the Old Guard and their cronies… trust us: they don’t have that kind of power.

Mrs Golob’s resignation marks the fifth director to have resigned since May 30th, 2019. While board resignations are unprecedented in the organizations history, this is not the first time that directors have been removed.
Many people have said that things will “get worse before they get better” in regard to the Crisis inside the NRA. We feel Strongly that the only way to get to the “better” part is by speaking openly and directly about the worst parts of the crisis. Without acknowledging the very real problems, we will not be able to advance the solutions to reform the NRA.
